More details
There’s a certain charm to Rolex in the mid-1950s — a softer design language, slimmer profiles, and a calmer confidence before the brand moved into the sharper, sportier shapes of the 60s. Reference 6567 lives in that earlier period, and you feel it immediately: the warm gold case, the silver sunburst dial, the dauphine hands, and the proportions that still feel refined almost 70 years later.
This example from 1956 sits exactly how an early Oyster Perpetual should. The case has the kind of wear you expect from a watch that’s stayed original rather than restored; nothing looks overdone or modernised. The dial has aged cleanly with an understated sheen, and the applied markers catch the light beautifully. It’s what collectors mean when they describe a vintage piece as period correct — nothing out of place, nothing trying too hard.
Paired with a Molequin blue strap, it has a contemporary feel while still keeping its mid-century character intact. On the wrist, the 34mm case feels balanced and effortless, the sort of watch you enjoy without thinking about it too much.

Condition
We’d class this example as Good on the Calibre Club scale.
The watch presents as it should for a 1950s reference — clean dial, consistent handset, and a case that shows natural age without any attempt to sharpen or refinish it. In other words, period correct. The movement winds smoothly and runs well for a watch of this era. As with most vintage pieces, exact service history prior to your ownership isn’t known.
The Molequin strap is new and chosen specifically to complement the warmth of the gold and the tone of the dial.
